The Chronicle, Scottsburg, Scott County, Indiana, Published Thursday 21 May 1908 April 21, 1908
Dr. J. P. Wilson, secretary of the county Board of Health, informs us that 
during the month of March there were 30 births in Scott county, not including 
the town of Scottsburg. Considering the population of the county, outside of 
Scottsburg, Dr. Wilson believes this is a record that few counties in the 
state can equal.
