The Chronicle, Scottsburg, IN.    Wed. 26 Feb., 1930
Mrs. Elizabeth Thompson received word of the death Monday morning of her 
granddaughter, Miss Wanda Thompson, aged 14 years, daughter of Rev. Virgil 
Thompson and Mrs. Thompson at Decatur, Ill.  Death resulted from burns 
received when her clothing became ignited from an open grate.  She was burned 
from the waist down and was taken to a hospital, where she died later.  The 
telegram stated that funeral arrangements had not been made.
