Crown Hill Cemetery, Knox, Starke County, Indiana Comments: Crown Hill Cemetery lies on the eastern edge of Knox. It is easily found by driving to the center of town on US-35 (Heaton Street) and turning east at the stoplight. Follow to the end of the street and find the gate to the cemetery on your right side. On a small hill directly ahead the former Indiana Governor Henry F. Schricker is buried and memorialized. My own parents are buried in this cemetery. Their tombstone (a grey granite slab) lies in the west-most section (off the hill) of the cemetery and is inscribed thus: Lawrence Lenard XI.20.1897 - II.22.1951 his beloved wife Priscilla Baron Lenard I.28.1905 - XII.10.1990 In Grateful Memory Lawrence Lenard, b.November 20,1897 in Budapest, Hungary; and his wife Priscilla b.Baron Lenard, b.January 28,1905 in Budapest, Hungary. =========================================================== USGENWEB ARCHIVES NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free information on the Internet, data may be used by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
