ST JOSEPH County Indiana OBITUARY Death of William Humes   Mr. William Humes, an old resident of this county, was visiting at Royal Centre and Logansport, for some time and was taken ill at the latter place.  This morning his son, Frank, telegraphed that his father was dead and the remains would be sent here tonight over the Vandalia road.  They will be taken to the home of his son-in-law, John Bailey, #501 E. Sample St.  The hour for the funeral is not fixed.  The interment will take place in the Bowman Cemetery, where Mr. Humes is buried.   The deceased was one of the early residents of the county and lived for many years in Centre twp.  A few years ago he held the office of constable for some time in Portage twp.  He was aged about 68 years.  He leaves 8 children:  John, William, living at Star City, this state; James, Frank and Mrs. Conn at Royal Centre, this state, Mrs. Annis at Grayling, Mich., Mrs. Plake at Valparaiso and Mrs. John Bailey in this city. --------------------------------------------------------------------- USGENWEB NOTICE: These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organization or persons.
