Mrs. Buckles was born in Michigan, June 23, 1862, and came to South Bend 30 years ago from Michigan. She was the widow of Chester Buckles. Mrs. Buckles is survived by one son, Ray; one daughter, Miss Mae Buckles, of Chicago, and two sisters, Mrs. Thad Ryther, of Hobart, Ind., and Mrs. Albert Berger, of Danville, Ill. She was a member of the Schuyler Rebekah lodge, No. 39 I.O.O. F. The body will lie in state in the A.M. Russell chapel Wednesday afternoon. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the chapel. Rev. J. Burt Bouwman, of the First Baptist church, officiating.
