Mrs. Martha Ann Hepler, 67 years old, died last night at the home of her son, 
Melvin Hepler, 19th street, River Park.  Death followed illness of seven weeks 
with heart trouble.  Mrs. Hepler had not been in good health for a number of 
years.  She was born in Starke county, Ohio, and came to this section when a 
young girl.  She was married Dec. 1, 1864 to John Hepler who died three years 
ago.  Surviving are the following children, Elmer and Cassius Hepler, of 
Mishawaka; Melvin, of River Park; Lafayette, of Jackson, Mich; Mrs. S. D. 
Smith and Mrs. A. J. Kilger, of Jones, Mich.; Mrs. Daniel Annis, of Granger, 
Ind.; and Miss Laura Hepler, of Mishawaka.  Three brothers survive, Calvin and 
Cyrus, of this county, and John, of Elkhart county.  The funeral will be held 
from the First Christian church, Mishawaka, tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 
o'clock, Rev. G. W. Weimer officiating.  Burial will be in the Mishawaka City 
cemetery.
