Webber, Ex-Niles Resident, Dies in So. Bend Emery A. Webber, 73, who was born in Niles and lived here until 22 years ago, died Monday night at 7 in his home at 708 East Broadway, South Bend. He had been ill more than a year. Born here Sept. 11, 1868, he was married in Adrian, April 6, 1891, to the former Nellie Beebe, who survives. He had lived in South Bend since 1920. Surviving with Mrs. Webber are three sons and three daughters. O.C. Webber, Chicago; L.A. Webber, Mishawka, and R.B. Webber, serving abroad with the army; Mrs. L.G. Heph and Mrs. O.J. Trent, South Bend, and Mrs. W.C. Robinson, Gary. He also leaves four sisters and a brother, Mrs. Henry Williams, Mrs. Carl Ream and Judson Webber, all of Niles; Mrs. Arthur Versaw, Benton Harbor, and Mrs. Andrew Dark, South Bend. Friends may call at the Webber home until Thursday morning at 11: 30 (CWT) when the body will be taken to the Indiana Avenue Christian church for the funeral at 2 (CWT). Burial will be in South Lawn cemetery.
