Author: Wilson, Fuller & Co. (1899)

  DICKERSON, JOHN H., farmer of Hamilton Township, was born in Orange County,
Ind., August 4, 1841; son of John and Mary (Bosrick) Dickerson. Our subject was
left an orphan at the age of 12 years, and was mainly reared in Sullivan County,
coming to the county in 1856. He settled on his present farm in 1864. He began
life poor, but has succeeded as a farmer by means of industry and frugality. He
is an uncompromising Republican and is a worker in his party. He is a member of
the Methodist Episcopal Church and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
