(1899) WORKMAN, SOL. W., owns a flourishing farm in section 5 in Hamilton township. Here you may always find him looking after his many interests. He is the son of Jesse and Nancy (Connor) Workman. The father came to Sullivan county in 1839 from Coshocton County, O.; he moved back there in 1846. The subject of this sketch was born in Hamilton township Sept. 5, 1840; he married Jemima Brower in 1867. She died in 1877, leaving a husband and four children, the latter being. Belle, Jennie, Chas. E., and B. F. Workman, Mr. Workman is an enthusiastic member of the I. O. O. F. and the subordinate bulge, Encampment Rebeckahs, in both of which he has passed through all the chairs.
