 On the Twelth day of September AD One Thousand eight hundred and twenty
eight on the affidavit of Noah Holbert I Israel R Whitehead Clerk of the
Circuit Court of the County of Switzerland granted Garrett Going and
Mahulda Foley Marriage Licence in these words
State of Indiana Switzerland County SS To any person authorized by law in
Said County know ye that I Isrel R Whitehead Clerk of the Circuit Court of
Said County by Virtue of the authority by Law in me Vested grant Garrett
Going of Said County and Mahulda Foley of the Same County Licence to be
married together in the Holy State of matrimony as Husband and Wife In
Testimony whereof I hereto Set my hand and the Seal of Said Court at Vevay
this Tenth day
(Seal) of September AD.  One Thousand eight hundred and Twenty eight

Afterwards, to wit, on the Thirteenth day of September A D One Thousand
eight hundred and twenty eight Joseph Malin a Justice of the peace of Said
County filed a Certificate in these words, State of Indiana, Switzerland
County SS Be it remembered that on the 10th day of Sept A.D. 1828 I joined
together Garrett Going and Mahulda Foley as man & Wife under my hand & Seal
this 12th day of Sept 1828

 & And thirty two I Edward Patton Clerk of the Circuit Court of the
County of Switzerland did Grant Barnabas Gerrard and Elizabeth Folly
Marriage Licence by & with the Consent of Nathl Gerrard father of said
Barnabas and Joel Copher for the Said Elizabeth--
   Afterwards to wit on the 6th day of April A D one thousand eight hundred
and thirty two    Henry Rogers a Justice of the peace filed his certificate
in the words and figures following to wit   State of Indiana Switzerland

  This is to Certify that I Henry Rogers a Justice fo the epace did
Solemnize
  Marriage between Barnabas Gerrard and Elizabeth Folly on the 5th day of
April
        A.D. 1832

 (Note: Mahulda (Huldy) and Elizabeth (Betsy) Foley were sisters, daughters
of Bayless
  And Mildred Breeden Foley of Gallatin County, KY.  Joel Copher was their
brother-in-law, husband of their sister Sarah (Sally) Foley Copher)
