STOCKWELL.

A beautiful and enterprising town on the Indianapolis, Cincinnati & Lafayette
railroad, twelve miles from Lafayette. It is noted for its good schools, and
religious advantages. The Stockwell Collegiate Institute is located here, and an
excellent graded school, commendable to all who are desirous of obtaining a
schooling for their children. It has several churches, stores, shops, etc.
Population about 500.
