Tippecanoe County Indiana EMMART FAMILY BIBLE This bible has been in the Emmart family for a number of generations. It was handed down from James Emmart to his son Isaac to his nephew Frank to his brother Earl Thomas to his son Raymond Earl Emmart. It remains in his care. It is in remarkable condition for its age, but it is spotted and missing a cover. With care, the bible can be copied or scanned. Philip Emmart died in Mineral County, WV. We are unsure of the exact date the family moved to the Headsville area. A Jacob and Eve Barbary Emmart did live in Frederick County at one time. The name has also been spelled Emmert, Emmitt, and Emmit. It appears that the family in WV all spelled it Emmart. There are other members of this family in the Baltimore area. For additional information on this family, see the Headsville Cemetery, Mineral County, WV, records. The bible was transcribed by Mary Louise Van Pelt Emmart.
