He engaged in the shingle business for some time, and, since then, he has followed agricultural pursuits. In 1865, he removed to Decatur County, Ind., purchased a farm and remained there about five years; he then sold out and bought a farm in Jennings County, where he remained until 1872, when he came to Tipton County, purchased a farm two and a half miles south of Tipton, and lived there till 1883, when he sold out and purchased eighty acres in Section 34, Cicero Township. He built a neat residence and moved into it; he has forty acres under cultivation. Mr. Boulton was married, February 25, 1850, in Butler County, Ohio, to Miss Mary E. Byrum.
