Hudson Hall was born in Virginia about July, 1784, and was married in Ohio to Miss Nancy Alley; he removed to Henry County, Ind., and in 1849 came to Tipton County, purchased a tract of timber land, built a house, but did not live to remove his family to this county, his death occurring July 12, 1849. After his death, his widow removed with her family upon the farm, where she resided until her death, August 12, 1852. Of a family of twelve children, only six are living-Mrs. Rebecca Richards, Elijah, William, Nathan, Mrs. Elizabeth Singleton and Elias. The subject of this sketch came to Tipton County, with his mother, at the age of sixteen, and located in Cicero Township. He was married, April 27, 1856, in this county, to Miss Nancy Swope, daughter of Andrew Swope. He located on a farm of sixty acres in Section 4, Cicero Township, and has cleared forty acres of land.
