On his father's farm he grew to manhood, after which he continued the vocation of a farmer, until the spring of 1882, with success. He then sold his farm and entered upon the business above alluded to. Mr. Haskett is a member of the Democratic party and the organization of Odd Fellows, and with his wife belongs to the Christian Church.
