McCOLLEY, son of George W. McColley, is a native of Rush County, Ind., and was born March 3, 1838. He was reared on a farm in his native county, and received a fair education in the common schools. He engaged in farming in Rush County until 1872, when he removed to Marshall County and purchased a farm of eighty acres. In 1880, he came to Tipton County and purchased a farm of 156 acres in Section 27, Cicero Township, and has since added twenty-five acres. His farm is of fertile soil, well drained, with 125 acres under cultivation. He was married, March 18, 1870, in Rush County, Ind., to Miss Sarah J. Green, who died August 2, 1879. They had two children-Sarah E. and Arvilla. Mr. McColley is a prosperous farmer and excellent citizen, and is identified with the Democratic party.
