   PATRICK J. McCUE was born in Donegal County, Ireland, in 1854, and is the son
of Thomas and Margaret (Dorian) McCue. Patrick J. was reared on a farm. He came
to America in 1868, and secured a position as traveling salesman. He started in
life with no money, but with plenty of nerve and energy. He traveled until 1875,
when he came to Tipton County, and went into business for himself. In 1881, he
started business in Zanesville, Ohio, with $1,500 stock. His brother is now
managing the business at Zanesville for Mr. McCue, who is doing a first-class
business at Tipton. He was married, October 14, 1882, to Miss Sarah Welsh, of
Tipton County, and of Irish descent. Mr. McCue is a stanch Democrat, and he and
wife are members of the Catholic Church.
