Minnie Elmyra, daughter of Samuel and Amanda Kelley [sic] died near Nevada, Tipton County, Indiana, May 20, 1897, in her 18th year. She united with the Presbyterian Church near her home January 19, 1894 and ever after lived a consistent Christian life. She loved her church and Sunday School and was a regular attendant at the services. She leaves a host of friends who have left to them the memories of a pure unselfish life, a life in which were found the virtues of faith, love and kindness which are adornments of a Christian character. No more will her footsteps be heard, her form will cross your threshold no more; the hearts of her loved ones are sad and lonely. But sometime after we may understand why God claims his own and plucks from our care the jewels that make up his kingdom.
