Mr. mack, who was a member of one of Vermillion county's pioneer families, was Born Oct 15, 1884 at the Mack home @ Helt's Prairie, six miles north of Clinton. He was the son of Alonzo and Isabel White Mack. He spent his entire lifetime in Vermillion County and was a leader in farm and church activities in the northern part of the county. Mr. Mack was a graduate of Purdue University with the class of 1910 and was long recognized as a leader in farm endeavors. He was renamed county Triple A chairman in elections this month and was a member of the Farm Bureau. Mr. Mack is survived by the widow, Mrs. Mae Elliott Mack, three sons, Lieut. Richard A. Mack stationed at Camp Pickett, VA: Robert Mack, Ojai, Calif. recently discharged from service and Leigh Mack at home: one granddaughter:one brother, E. L. Mack of route one, Clinton, and several nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the Frist Funeral Home and will be returned to the residence on route one, Hillsdale, Wednesday morning. Funeral services will be held at the residence Thursday January 31st. 2pm Rev Ralph S Guinn will officate and burial will be in Helt's Prairie.
