Biographical Sketch of Wabash Co. In.

GEORGE KITTERMAN, farmer, P.O. North Manchester, was born in Preble
County, Ohio, March 30, 1833. His father Daniel Kitterman was a native of
Virginia (born in 1799), and his mother, whose maiden name was Rebecca
Mikesell, was born in Ohio.  Both parents are deceased.  They were members
of the German Baptist Church.  The subject of this sketch was reared in
Ohio.  On the 18th of September, 1856, he married Elizabeth Yost, daughter
of John and Elizabeth (Houser) Yost, the former a native of Virginia and
the latter of Maryland.  In 1880, he came to Wabash County, Indiana and
purchased eighty acres of land, to which he subsequently added another
eighty- acre tract, and has in the meantime made it a fine farm.  By
industry and energy, he has succeded in accumulating a comfortable amount
of property.  Mr. Kitterman and wife are the parents of six children--Mary
F.; Clara F; Prudence A.; Henry E.; Jennie M.; and John F.  Clara F. was
married November 19, 1880 to Joseph Garber, and lives in this county.  The
parents and four of the children are members of the Christian Church.


Biographical Sketches of Wabash County, Indiana

Eliza Kitterman, born 8 Aug. 1828, Preble Co., Ohio, married 27 July 1848
to David Houser in Preble Co., Ohio, died 23 July 1906, Wabash County,
Indiana.  David died 3 April 1904, both are buried in Union/Pleasand Grove
Cemetery in Wabash Co., In.  David is the son fo Henry and Lydia Rinehart
Houser.  He was born in Montgomery County, Ohio 10 June 1821.  Eliza and
David moved to Wabash County, Indiana in 1851.  They owned a farm and
David was a tanner by trade.  They had twelve children; Amos, Caroline,
Hiddery, Perry, Libbie, Peter, William, Daniel, Ira and Idia.
Name of two of the children unknown.
