C. Chandler & Co.'s Business Directory For Indiana WILLIAMSPORT. The capital of Warren county, on the Wabash river and Toledo, Wabash & Western railroad, twenty-four miles from Lafayette. It is one of the most pleasantly situated and healthful towns in the State, and is rapidly building up a large manufacturing and commercial business. Its religious and educational advantages make it a desirable residence. The Warren Academy and Normal Institute are in a flourishing condition, and compare favorably with many institutions of greater pretensions. An extensive flouring mill, a large woolen factory, foundries, machine shops, furniture and other establishments are among its manufactories, and the lesser branches of trades and business are well represented. It has a population of about 1,100, and is steadily increasing. Agricultural Implements.
