Notice of Application for License. Notice is hereby given to the citizens of State Line City, in Kent tonwship (typo is in the original document), Warren county, in the State of Indiana, and to all others whom it may concern, that the undersigned, a male inhabitant of said town, who is now over the age of twenty one (21) years, and who is now and has been continuously for more than ninety (90) days last past (and who will be such resident continuously until the application herein mentioned is presented to the Board of Commissioners hereafter mentioned) a bona fide resident ot said township, will apply to the Board of Commissioners, of the county of Warren in the State of Indiana, at its next sesion, commencing on the first Monday in December, 1898, for a license to sell spirituous, vinous, malt and other intoxicating liquors in a less quantity than a quart at a time, (the undersigned to be the actual and sole owner and proprietor of said business and not the agent or partner of any other person for conducting the same.) Said license to run for one year and the liquors to be sold thereunder to be drunk on the premies where sold. The room in which the undersigned desires to sell such liquors as aforesaid is the front and only room on the ground floor of the two-story brick busines buildinghereinafter located; said room being described specifically, as follows: A room thirty-two (32) feet long, eighteen (18) feet wide and ten (10) feet high inside measurements. Said room has a double frame and glass door leading into it from the front of the street with a double window on each side thereof, so arranged that the whole of the interior of said room may be in the view from the street on which it fronts, said room has one single window in the center of the back wall. And said room is so arranged that the same can be securely closed and locked and admission thereto prevented. And said room is without any partitions of any kind therein, In said room is an open stairway of fifteen steps with bannister hand railing leading to the second story of said building, which stairway is described as follows: Commencing at a point three feet and four inches from the back or east wall of said building and against the north wall to a width of three feet and rising to the opening in the ceiling and into the second story at a distance from the beginning of seventeen feet, six inches measured parallel or along the floor. Underneath said stairway the same is boxed thus foerning a closet into which a door leads from the west end. Said building fronts west upon and on Main street in said State Line City and is situated on lot six (6), in the original town of State Line City, Warren county, INdiana, and is the only brick business building situated on said lot.
