Frank K. Ebert, a native of Germany, was born Feb. 11, 1827. He resided in his 
native country till 1853, when he came to America, landing at Baltimore, Md., 
where he remained eleven months. He then spent a year and a half in 
Cincinnati, after which he came to Cambridge City, Ind., and worked five years 
in a cooper shop. He then embarked in the grocery business which he 
successfully followed till 1882, when he disposed of his interest to his son 
Emil. He was married in 1855 to Flora Halbleib. They have a family of four 
children---Emil, Florence, Mary and Frank.
