He received a liberal education, and having been reared on a farm has become familiar with all the details of the business, and bids fair to be a successful rival of any farmer in the county. He was married Nov. 30, 1882, to Ada, daughter of Thomas and Louisa J. (Study) Edwards, of Wayne County. They have one daughter---Edna M. Mrs. Jones's mother is a native of Indiana. Her father is a native of Wales, and came to the United States about forty-five years ago. He is by trade a millwright, and has worked in a number of mills in Wayne County. At present he is living at Williamsburg, having retired from business. He is a member of the Masonic fraternity.
