His father, Mordecai Weekly, was born on the same farm, and was by occupation a farmer and merchant. He died in Lewisville, Henry Co., Ind. He was married to Nancy A. Nugen, a native of Wayne County, and daughter of John Nugen, an early settler of this county. She is still living, and is making her home with our subject. He was educated in the district schools of his neighborhood, and remained on the home farm till 1872, where he was actively engaged in dealing in stock. He was married in 1875 to Nancy J., daughter of Henry and Nancy Wright. His family consists of three children---Wells C., Frances E., and Omer D. In 1872 Mr. Weekly moved to Lewisville, Henry Co., Ind., remaining there but a short time. In 1874 he came to Cambridge City where he has since kept a livery stable, and is also engaged in buying and selling horses. He is the owner of a fine farm of fifty-one acres in Henry County. He belongs to Lodge No.5, A. F. & A. M., Cambridge City.
