His father came to America in 1818, and was married Jan. 23, 1829. He was by trade a tanner, but also carried on a farm. He died Dec. 14, 1876, aged nearly seventy-seven years. His wife died July 11, 1881. They were members of the Methodist Episcopal church. To them were born eleven children, six of whom are living. Our subject remained with his parents till manhood. June 5, 1866, he married Polly A., daughter of Caleb and Luzetta (Dean) Mendenhall. To them have been born four children---Glena, Caleb Olsen, Fred Deloss, and Augustus. Mr. Weyl has a good farm of eighty acres, and also deals in live stock. He and his wife are members of the United Brethren church.
