The Humboldt Union (Humboldt, KS) Sat Oct 25, 1879 pg 3

   A new church is to built in the south-eastern part
of the county, under the incorporated name of the
Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Friends Home church.
Parties were in town on Monday and purchased the lumber
of S. A. Brown & Co. They loaded sixteen wagons on
Tuesday. Work began on the new ediface on Thursday. 
We are glad to hear that our Swedish friends in
Elsmore and Cottage Grove townships are to have a
comfortable and commodious church building of
their own.
