Humboldt Union Th, 2 Dec 1937 Humboldt, Allen Co. KS MRS. GEORGE M’KINLEY PASSES AWAY TUESDAY Mrs. George McKinley, a resident of Humboldt for many years, died Tuesday morning, November 30, at 7:30 o’clock in her home at 518 South Ninth street, following a stroke of paralysis. She had been in ill health for several years. Effa Neff was born in Canfield, Ohio in 1861. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Neff. She was married to George McKinley in Kansas City in 1908, returning to Humboldt to make their home. Mr. McKinley preceded his wife in death 10 years ago. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. H.A. Brown of Iola and Mrs. Cora Young of Dallas, Texas, a brother, Omar Ness [sic] whose address is unknown and two step-sons, Ben McKinley of Kansas City and Junior McKinley of Emporia. Several nephews and nieces including Floyd Brown of Iola. Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon, 2:30 o’clock at the Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. J.C. Dussair, pastor of the Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Hope cemetery. Mrs. Cora Young of Dallas has arrived to attend the funeral. Burial - 2 Dec 1937 in Mt.
