Wichita, D/O late Francis William and Irene Amelia Frisch Dieker. She spent her childhood in Westphalia and graduated from Westphalia High School in 1966. She then moved to Wichita and was employed at Southwestern Office Supply while she attended Wichita State University. On May 28, 1971, she and Edward Ray Sitz were married. His death came on April 21, 1973 while stationed with the U.S. Air Force in Thailand. Their son, Francis Edward Sitz, was 18 months old at the time of his father's death. Joyce remained in Wichita and earned her degrees in Geriatrics and Spanish from Wichita State in 1985, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She was then employed as secretary at All Saints Catholic Church until 1988, at Sedwick Plaza Nursing Home from 1988 until 1989, and from 1989 until her death she was employed as a title clerk at Davis-Moore Auto Group. She also worked part time for the Wichita Eagle Newspaper and Dillards. Her greatest loves were family, friends, reading, sewing, gardening, and cooking. She had won many recipe contests. She was very active in the community and had volunteered with the American Red Cross, Meals on Wheels, St. Anthony House, and the M.D.A. Telethon. She visited MS patients, tutored students at Indian Center, and was a Cub Scout leader. Young, Leona C. 22 May 1903 8 Feb 1999 b. Oklahoma City, OK, d.
