Files may be printed or copied for personal use only. MRS. EMMA GORE, 89, widow of Henry A. Gore, died this morning in Atchison. Funeral services will be Friday at the Sawin and Douglass chapel. Dr. W. O. Shank of Kansas City will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery. Daughter of William and Mary Ann Foley. Born 29 Jul 1856 in the Rushville, MO community. May 7, 1874 she married Henry A. Gore. They resided in the Rushville community until 1908, moved to Oklahoma, moved to Atchison in 1912. Mrs. Gore was the mother of seven children, five of whom died in infancy. Her husband died in 1923. Member of the Baptist church. Mrs. Gore reared three foster children and several nieces and nephews. She leaves two sons, Lee Gore, Atchison, and Harry Gore, Oklahoma City, Okla.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Jim Gore, Nortonville; three foster children, Frank Jones, Mrs. H. E. Wallace, Macksville, and Harrison Foley, Perry; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
