The Atchison Daily Champion, Atchison County, Friday, January 25, 1866
Died.
Near Atchison, Kan., on the 22d of Jan., 1866, of consumption, Mr. Timothy
STILLINGS, aged 40 years.
The deceased has long been a sufferer of this fatal disease, although he endured
his illness with patience and courage, waitinig for the delivery to come and
free him from all his pains and afflictions.

I am fading away to the land of the blest,
Like the last lingering hues of the even'
Reclining my head on my kind angels breast,
I soah to my own native heaven.
My warfare is finished--the battle is won,
To a crown and a throne I aspire.
My coursets are brighter than steed of the sun,
Free them from hence by eternity's light.  E.C.S.
