Feb 16, 1832? - Apr 20, 1883 VanDerpool, Newton June 28, 1861 - July 27, 1880 This old cemetery is north of Sun City, SWSW 36-30-15, Fred Hoagland, land owner as of 2004. Oldest marked grave still visible is Harris Adams (April 13, 1862 - April 20, 1873), son of Rev. and Mrs. Adams, Sun City's first preacher. Three graves are marked April 20, 1883, the deaths resulting from a cyclone. Identities are Mrs. S.M. Shumate (February 16, 1832); her son David (January 3, 1864); B.B. Allen (April 16, 1842).
