D/O Earl D. and Mary Gert-rude Blakely Blackwelder. In 1929, she moved with her
family to Hooker, Okla., where she graduated from Hooker High School in 1940.
She attended Panhandle A&M College, Goodwell, Okla., and graduated from Salt
City Business College, Hutchinson. She was a professional Business Administrator
for Polumbus Engineering, first as executive secretary in Hutchinson, and then
was an administrative office manager in Tulsa, Okla., retiring to Hutchinson in
1981. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Lawrence; a nephew,
Bruce Blackwelder; and other family, cousins, aunts and uncles.
