Groendycke, Pattie Ilene

b. Medicine Lodge ks Barber co, d. wichita, The second daughter of Len Talbott
Groendycke and Elma (Hensley) Groendycke. She attended Sunflower Rural School
for 8 years and graduated from Medicine Lodge High School in 1948. After
attending Emporia State University, she started work in Wichita in the Insurance
field, eventually becoming an Underwriter. After retiring as an Underwriter,
Pattie ran her own business as an Insurance Property Appraiser for several
years. She was a member of Countryside Christian Church and was an active
participant in their senior group, "New Visions" and enjoyed singing at area
nursing homes and churches with the "New Vision Singers." Pattie dearly loved
her family and friends and she especially loved children. Her special love was
the family farm and she took every opportunity to visit there.
