b. Barton Co KS, d. Hays KS Ellis co, D/O of Henry and Anna Eichman Schneider. A
lifetime resident of Hoisington, she was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and
quilt maker.

She belonged to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, WELCA, the church sewing group, Past
President of Clara Barton Auxiliary, all at Hoisington, and was past secretary
of AHSGR-Post Rock Chapter. On April 20, 1941, she married Harold J. Cheney, at
Larned. He died Feb. 25, 2004.She was preceded in death by three brothers, Otto,
Emil and Paul Schneider; and two sisters, Elma Hofferber and Genevie "Toots"
Sinclair.
