C. M. GRIMSLEY DEAD East Side Carpenter Died of Heart Attack Early Today Clarence M. Grimsley, 56, a carpenter residing at 523 South Broadway, passed away this morning at 6:05 at the home following a heart attack. He had been in failing health for two months, and for the past three weeks had been bedfast. He is survived by his wife, Stella, and the following children: Mrs. Bryce Harris and Mrs. A. B. Thomas, city; and Orville, Lester, Violet, Floyd Lee and Junior at home. He also leaves three brothers, Ira, of Stockton, Cal.; Burt and Clyde of Chickasha, Okla.; and one sister, Mrs. Ozea Lannon of Chickasha. The deceased, a son of John and Lou Grimsley, was born in Vernon County, Missouri, June 7, 1879. He married Stella Thurston at Nevada on August 5, 1905. Mr. Grimsley had lived in this vicinity for ten years. During his illness he was given every aid of medical science. He realized his condition and was cheerful and considerate. He was a devoted husband and father and leaves a host of friends and acquaintances. Interment will be made in the Oak Grove cemetery. Funeral arrangements are indefinite, awaiting word from relatives in California. The body lies in state at the Cheney chapel.
