She was one of six sisters left orphaned at an early age. At the age of four she came to Kansas and was taken into the home of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schmitt of near Fairview. She grew to womanhood in this home where she was given the love of a daughter. She united with the Evangelical church at an early age and remained faithful to that belief throughout her life. In February of 1906 she was united in marriage to Alfred Kinter of Dubois. Their early married life was spent on farms around Fairview. To this union was born six children: Violet, Emerson, Fred, Marvin, Norma and Lova. Mr. Kinter passed away in 1931. Mrs. Kinter was a kind and gentle mother, a loving friend. She worked tirelessly for others. Several weeks ago she came to Fairview to make her home with Mrs. Jacob Schmitt. She has been ill for some time but was not known to be serious until one day before she passed away. She is survived by 3 daughters: Mrs. Violet Hoover of Kenward, Nebraska; Mrs. Norma Chedister of Ute, Iowa; Mrs. Lova Wisenburg of Rawling, Wyoming; 3 sons, Pvt. Emerson Kinter of Ft. Sill, Oklahoma; Cpl Marvin Kinter of Ft. Lewis, Washington; and Fred Kinter of Sheridan, Wyoming. Twenty grandchildren and a host of friends also survive. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Meek Chapel in Hiawatha with Rev. Hugh Lomax in charge of the services. Alonzo Lambertson sang "Going Down the Valley", "In the Sweet By and By" and "God be with You Till We Meet Again", accompanied by Mrs. Lambertson at the piano. Body bearers were: Frank, Charles, Edgar, Ralph, Bert and Fred Schmitt. The burial was made in the Hiawatha Cemetery.
