The Courier, Fairview, KS, Oct. 6, 1921
John Leitzinger died suddenly Thursday, September 29, death being due to 
apoplexy. He was 46 years old and was born near Fairview and spent all his 
life here.  July 23 he was operated on at Sabetha for gall stones and had 
almost completely recovered, but probably overstrained himself working 
Thursday, bringing on the attack.  The funeral was held Saturday, services 
being conducted at the Reformed church by Rev. Naefe, with burial in Isely 
Cemetery.  For the past few years he had been almost the support of  his aged 
mother and had always been a useful law-abiding citizen
