A. Lyman, residing four miles east of this place, aged 2 years and 11 months. Burtee was taken sick only the morning before he got up as usual, when his father did, but soon complained of being sleepy he was laid down, when soon after he complained of being tired, he grew worse and died as stated. The Doctor (Miner) thought the disease spotted fever. Poor little fellow! He was a pet, and was a hearty, healthy child. The parents are sorely afflicted by the loss, but such is life. It is full of mysterious happenings of this kind.
