Greenwood co KS, d. wichita, D/O Oliver Cromwell and Georgia Elliott Crookham. She was a secretary for the Mobil Refinery in Augusta in the 1940's and she also worked at the Towanda Post Office while living there. She was a homemaker and an avid gardener, and an excellent seamstress. She enjoyed cooking and quilting. She loved to travel and she had lived with her husband Orval, who worked for Mobil Oil and lived in Libya, Nigeria, Nebraska and Kansas. Her last international trip was taken to Zimbabwe on a mission trip when she was 82 years old. Where ever she lived she was active with family, church and community activities. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Willard Bell and Orval Clark. Memberships included the First United Methodist Church of Wichita where she was a master quilter. She was a member of the Quilters Circle and the Triad Sunday School Class. She had been a member of the 20th Century Club in Wichita and the Federated Women's Club, Nakomis in Towanda, Kansas.
