F. D. Lawrence, drilling contractor, narrowly escaped serious inury, if not death, about 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon, when the motor car he was driving upset about four miles east of DeGraff. The accident happened when Mr. Lawrence lost control of the machine. The car travelled many yards swinging from one side of the road to the other. It then turned completely around and fell on its side. A. B. Ewing, postmaster was a short distance behind Mr. Lawrence and helped him right the car. The machine was only slightly damaged and was able to proceed under its own power. Mr. Lawrence received only slight bruises.
