For the occasion the home was handsomely decorated with a profusion of crysanthemums and green. In the parlor a looking glass was placed in one corner of the room, surrounded by a bank of beautiful flowers before which the bride and groom stood. Miss Josie Widemann played Mendelssohn’s wedding march. The ceremony was preformed by Rev. Harkness of the Presbyterian church, assisted by Rev. Burns, the Methodist minister. “Till Death” was sung prettily by Miss Ethel Bugbee. After the ceremony an elegant luncheon was served. The bride looked beautiful gowned in white silk with elaborate point lace trimming. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Shepard. He is a Kansas born young man and one of sterling worth, industry and integrity. For four years he was employed in the clothing department of W. H. Hitchock & Sons Tripple store, but for several months he has been junior member of the firm of Qidham & Shepard, undertakers. His bride is a lovely young woman, a graduate of the El Dorado schools and one who is possessed of all good and noble attributes and characteristics of womankind; one who is qualified to make a happy home.
