She was born May 22, 1875, at Iuka, Illinois. She was raised by Frederick and Jeanette Schmidt. They came to Labette county, Kansas, when she was a girl. She was married to Wilbur Potts in 1892. She is survived by four children, Floyd Potts of Douglass, Fred Potts of Tucumcari, New Mexico, Mrs. Winifred Davis of Cardiff by the Sea, Calif., and Mrs. Ruby Clark of Wichita; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Central Christian church at Wichita Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Dr. Thomas O. Parrish. Burial was in Wichita Park Cemetery, in charge of Hilyard Funeral Home, Douglass.
