Bickers, 102, of El Dorado, died Thursday morning, Aug. 26, 2004, at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital. Graveside services are 3 p.m. Friday at Sunset Lawns Cemetery. She was born Oct. 13, 1901, in Miami, Okla., the daughter of William and Beulah Hackett Baldwin. She was united in marriage to Ed W. Bickers Feb. 7, 1922. He preceded her in death in 1972. She had lived in El Dorado since 1961, coming here from Lyons. She was a homemaker and a former member of the Baptist Church in Lyons. She was the oldest living member of the Ottawa Indian Tribe. She loved to play bridge. Survivors include: niece, Patricia Keiser of Wenatchie, Wash., and Mike Thayer of Chicago, Ill.; great-niece, Cindy Knoeppel of Wichita; and great-nephew, Steve Place of El Dorado. She was preceded in death by a nephew, William Place. Kirby-Morris Funeral Home has the arrangements.
