Zachariah, son of Morgan and Mary Bush, was born in Woodford County, Kentucky, April 13, 1857, and departed this life October 11, 1932, at Winfield, Kansas, being at the time of his death 75 years, 5 months and 29 days old. He was married to Sue McWilliams December 2, 1883. To them were born nine children, eight of whom died in infancy. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, his son Zack Jr., and his wife Fern, and his little granddaughter, Betty Ann. There also remain four brothers, Jordon, Will and Joe of Tonkawa, Oklahoma and Charles of Newkirk, Oklahoma, and two sisters, Mrs. Mollie Henshaw of Boise City, Oklahoma and Mrs. Mattie Lacey of Lamont, Oklahoma and two sisters, Mrs. Mollie Henshaw of Boise City, Oklahoma and Mrs. Mattie Lacey of Lamont, Oklahoma, and other relatives and a large circle of friends and acquaintances. Preceding him in death besides his children, were his father and mother and two brothers John and James and a sister Ophelia. He came from Missouri to Butler County, Kansas in the spring of 1877, and was one of the pioneers of this community. He was an honest upright man and believed in God and often said during hs long illness he was ready to go and meet God. Funeral services were held in the Methodist church in Douglass, Thursday afternoon by Rev. George Watts, assisted by Rev. L. S. Scott. Burial was in the Douglass cemetery.
