Walnut Valley Times, December 4, 1902, Volume XXXIII, Number 46
A telegram yesterday informed Samuel Dowse of the death of his granddaughter 
Hazel Dowse, daughter of Isaac Dowse. She died on her birthday November 26 and 
was eight years old. Many of her playmates here will recall her and mourn the 
little life so early ended. She was buried at Cullan, Illinois.
