He was a native of Bourbon County, Ky., and came to Butler County from Missouri and homesteaded a farm, four miles south of Latham. He later bought land east of Douglass. He is survived by his widow and three sons, J. W. Glaves, Frank Glaves and Everett Glaves, all of Douglass.
