HALL:  Died at his home north of El Dorado, Thursday afternoon, February 26, at 
2:30, Lewis Hall, aged 73 years. Spinal and heart trouble was the cause of his 
death. About two months ago Mr. Hall had a serious attack of bleeding at the 
nose and since then he has been growing weaker every day, the attacks of nose 
bleed recurring frequently. The worst and final attack came last Saturday 
evening and he did not recover from it. All the members of the family were 
present at the time of his death except Z. G. Hall of Dixey, Oklahoma. Mr. Hall 
was born in Zanesville, Ohio, February 28, 1830, where he lived until he 
removed to Kansas. He married Susan Grove on May 22, 1852. In 1885 they came to 
Kansas and located on a farm on Rock Creek, where they prospered. In 1893 they 
moved to their present home just north of El Dorado. Surviving Mr. Hall are his 
wife and five children, Z. G. Hall of Dixey, Oklahoma; L. I. Hall, North 
Henderson, Illinois; Luella and Nina Hall and Mrs. Ida H. Fulton, of El Dorado. 
Besides his family he leaves a sister Mrs. Harriet Simpson of Nebraska. Mr. 
Hall was a good man. He was possessed of many admirable characteristics, a kind 
and loving disposition and had many friends. He most loved by those who knew 
him best. He was a member of the M. E. Church having been converted  in his 
youth. The funeral will be conducted by Rev. H. C. Whorton of Wichita, assisted 
by Rev. Burns of the Methodist Episcopal church at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 1.
