L. Waite, Blackwell, Okla., was buried at Augusta Friday. The Rev. Paul Brown, Baptist Church, read the ceremony. Harvey Henderson was born in Jackborough, Tenn., June 6, 1826. He was married to Miss Sarah Vernon, in Miller county, Mo., August 2, 1846, and to this union was born nine children of whom seven survive him. He enlisted in the Civil War in 1861, in union service and was mustered out in 1865. He then moved to Atchison county, Kansas and his wife died in 1871. In 1873, he was married again to Rebecca McCalla, and to this union was born eight children, of which three survive him and of the two unions, eight of the surviving children attended the funeral. He moved to Butler county in 1898, where his wife died in 1901, and where he has since resided.
