HENRY DIES; LIVED HERE 62 YEARS Roy C. Henry, 62, died of a heart attack at his home, 215 North Vine about 9 o'clock last night. Mr. Henry, a carpenter contractor, had lived here since he was two months old. Born on May 31, 1885 at Knoxville, Iowa, he came to El Dorado with his parents. He was married in 1909 to May Hunt at El Dorado but the couple was later separated. Mr. Henry was a member of the Christian church and was affiliated with the Ancient Order of United Workmen. Survivors include a son, George Henry, Seattle, Wash.; a sister, Mrs. Treva Demaree, Andover, a brother Ralph E. Henry, Leon; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be announced tomorrow through the Byrd Funeral Home. The El Dorado Times April 13, 1948 SERVICES ARE HELD FOR ROY C. HENRY Last rites for Roy C. Henry, who died here last Wednesday were held yesterday afternoon at the Byrd Funeral Home. Dr. Charles A. Jupin, pastor of the Christian Church, officiated. interment was made in Sunset Lawns cemetery. Pallbearers included John Dauber, E. G. Kistler, John Grange, Jack E. Henry, John H. Bush and Don W. Bush. Members of the carpenter's union, local No. 2278 of the A. F. of L. attended in a group and were in charge of services at the grace. Mrs. Fred Burr played and sang "Going Down the Valley" and "Nearer My God To Thee."
